Do Things You Enjoy ♥
Read a book, take a vacation, watch a movie or tv series, engage in your favourite hobby.
Limit Unhealthy Self Care!
Doom scrolling and bed rotting are fine in moderation. Sometimes we all just want to turn our brains off, but remember that sometimes self care is kicking yourself in the pants and responding to those messages, cleaning the house, taking a shower, etc.
Give Yourself Permission to Relax
Set boundaries around your self care. Schedule 'me time' in your calendar. Say no to invites from others if life is just too busy at the moment.
Take Care of Your Health
Eat regular meals, exercise, shower/bathe, brush your teeth. Sometimes doing this sucks, but it's best for you in the long run. You'll thank past you for taking good care of yourself. ♥
Set Specific Goals
Set clear goals for your self care like: I will walk for 30 minutes every day after dinner, or, I will only check social media for one hour a day.
Make Self Care a Habit
Only practicing self care once won't relieve stress. Find things that can become a normal part of your daily routine. For example setting aside one hour to read before bed, or making lunchtime sacred (focusing on the food and not working through it).
